The MA Lighting grandMA2 ultra-light delivers the full network performance of the grandMA2 series in a more compact console format, with all controls laid out in the same positions as the bigger consoles. This makes it an easy fit for operators who want grandMA2 workflow familiarity in a footprint and price point suited to smaller productions.
With its 4,096 parameters and 6 DMX outputs the grandMA2 ultra-light is the perfect backup solution too. It brings all the features of the series 2 consoles to smaller shows and budgets, including intuitive and fast control of all lighting genres and the handling of an almost infinite number of presets, cues, pages, sequences and effects.
Performance and Scalability
The console provides 4,096 HTP/LTP parameters for real-world programming flexibility across conventional and intelligent fixtures. For larger systems, it supports real-time control for up to 65,536 parameters per session when used in connection with an MA NPU, equivalent to 256 DMX universes, letting you scale your show control without changing the operator experience.
DMX and Connectivity
For direct output, the grandMA2 ultra-light includes 6 DMX outputs. Connectivity is designed for touring and networked control environments, with 2 etherCON connectors plus 4 USB 2.0 connectors for common peripherals and workflow needs.
Screens, Controls, and Hands-On Operation
Visual feedback and programming access are built in, including an internal TFT wide mode touchscreen (15.4" WXGA) and an internal command screen with multi-touch (9" SVGA). You can also connect up to 2 external TFT screens (UXGA, touchscreens accepted) to expand your programming and playback views.
Playback control is optimized for live operation with 15 executor faders, plus 2 motorized A/B fader 100mm for smooth crossfades and timing-sensitive transitions. The console also features a motorized monitor wing and individually backlit, dimmable silent (clickless) keys to support fast, low-noise operation in theatre, broadcast, houses of worship, and corporate environments.
